Dan Spano, a longtime personal trainer, took over the Greenwich franchise of the at-home gym service in October. The company, which brings a van packed with fitness equipment to you -- think 365 pieces -- was first open a year ago and run by a previous owner.
The grand reopening took place last month. At the moment Spano, who resides in Ridgefield, is focused on Greenwich, Ridgefield, Darien, New Canaan and Stamford but stressed that he services the entire county.
What makes his service so worthwhile, he said is based on their core values of "convenient, creative and customized" workouts.
"We understand that getting to a gym, between work and a busy home life, can be tricky and often overwhelming, he said.
"So, we bring the gym to you and will train at whatever time you want."
That means Spano can be working at 5 a.m. or at 11 p.m. -- or anytime inbetween.
And no, you don't have to have a giant home or an in-home gym to use their services. They simply move a coffee table and some sofas to make a family or living room into an insta-workout area.
"Our greatest joy as not just as a franchise but as a company that sees results, hears success stories and changes peoples lives, whether it is physically, mentally or emotionally," said Spano.
GYMGUYZ, he added, is more then just one on one training. The in-home gym service also offers group classes, youth sports conditioning and yoga.
Spano is hoping to partner, too, with local senior homes to work with their residents in regards to mobility, balance and strength. He also likes working with children with disabilities.
Now's the perfect time to buy a gift card for a future service for yourself or someone you love, he said.
